34. Kaze to RAINBOW/Kono Te wo Nobaseba (PV)

Alright, so this is my first PV review.. hope the images I chose aren't horrible. This is GARNET CROW's newest single which hit the shelves on 2.21.07, a week and a half ago. I've seen the Kono Te wo Nobaseba PV first, and it wasn't good. Therefore I've decided to only show screencaps of Kaze to RAINBOW (Wind and Rainbow). The PV starts off with a white chick with some heavy eye make-up, seen above. The MTV logo is good news though, so keep on watching..

So here we get a special shot of Nakamura Yuri (Yuri Nakamura), and my next point. This PV is worth mentioning because it surpasses almost ALL other GARNET CROW PVs.. like the one for Rai Rai Ya, was just some shots of dirt roads and words typed across the video = BORING. The PV for Kaze to Rainbow contains many digital effects and color rendering, so that it looks very cool.

We get a shot of the band, and a close-up of AZUKI7 (the most talented person who never opens her mouth at the camera), and another close up of the featured white chick (below). To be honest, she's not bad looking, but why oh why do the Japanese keep on putting white people in their PVs?! Nose bridge? Nose bridge. I'll go with that.

Finally, some comments on the music, it is a typical GARNET CROW song, which means it is a bit funky, lots of mixing, and messed up vowels from the lead singer, Ms. Nakamura. I've been listening to them for many years now, so I don't really mind. Otherwise, you will just have to learn to like the style. Her chorus --- "Kaze to rainbow~!!" can be a sing-along too. It is not a difficult song to learn, either.

Above we have two shots of Nakamura Yuri (Yuri Nakamura), both mixed into the many different kinds of shots this PV has, good stuff. Now for some final food for thought. I've always thought Azuki7 and Hitoshi Okamoto make a good couple because of their independent musical talents (Azuki7 composed/produced songs with the likes of Mai Kuraki and Okamoto was the 1st and ONLY guy to sign a GIZA record label ) And the bottom picture is just a nice picture of the two together. Aww.. !! :)
