Album Review:
New albums/aritists nowadays are very much overlooked. Why shouldn't they be, when the consumers crave the 15th Anniversary Mr. Children CD very much! This new album, released in the past week, is a collection of songs from various singles and albums, starting from the band's first year, 1992. The name of the album, "B-SIDE", really has no other meaning than the usual cheesy joke associated with "B-Sharps" (R) Simpsons. Anyway, here is an unusally brief summary of the songs collected.

Disc1: track 01 = Good, 02 = Alright, 03 = Good (a bit long), 04 = Good (in a 90s way), 05 = Alright (fuzzy tone), 06 = Fair (repetition of bad english), 07 = Good, 08 = Good (fuzzy sounds), 09 = Fair (repetitive), 10 = Good (café-style), 11 = Good.

Disc 2: track 01 = Alright (country..), 02 = Fair, 03 = Alright, 04 = Alright (sorry to have listened?), 05 = Good, 06 = Alright, 07 = Good, 08 = Alright, 09 = Fair, 10 = Good (movie-theme song), 11 = Good.

So if you can't gather from my ratings what I thought of the album overall.. I didn't quite like most of it, but there are a few oldies I liked. Mr. Children --- if I haven't mentioned it before --- is a band focusing on older audiences, so the working salarymen would enjoy listening to these songs MUCH more than people like me, or possibly you, too.

Personal opinions aside, B-SIDE (haha, alliteration..), in its first week of release, has sold more than 500,000 copies, although in my opinion, is a far lesser musical release than HOME. If you want to get one of the recent Mr. Children, get HOME.
