SUEMITSU & THE SUEMITH releases music constantly, and as expected, only two months after the release of The Piano It's Me, Atsushi released his newest single, Sagittarius, already playing as the second ending theme of the popular anime series, Nodame Cantabile.

This is another review of a PV, so I will be talking about how annoying many parts of the video are. Unfortunately, this video fits many aspects of what I consider "annoying". The masks the string orchestra - "Nodame Orchestra" are pretty cliché and unnecessary. Atsushi's piano playing isn't very fast as in Allegro Cantabile, but his back is still hunched like the Hunchback of Notre Dame, which is his signature move but seemed unnecessary for this song as well. I did like the part that would be considered most annoying by most --- the high ranged repeating notes at the end --- near the end of the song. I thought that really drove the message home: Yes, I'm sophisticated!

Sagittarius is one of my favorite constellations, because it is the one right after my zodiac: Scorpio.. :P So I thought the starry lights used in the background of the auditorium, where the entire PV took place, were spectacular. The song is also very nice, and it was also mixed very fully in SUEMITSU's style.

Other than that, I don't have a lot more to say.. I would have had a moral inserted here, but today, I do not, because I'm rushing to finish this whole thing (downloading, listening, uploading, reviewing) to get to work on my history essay on religion, which has a required word count many times over the word count of this blog. In that case, I DO have a moral: People can always find joy in times of distress, they just have to look harder. I know I would have more joy if my essay were finished and I take my time to blog, but blogging is a break from my essay so that makes me happy as well. :) It's really a win-win situation.. though I have to go finish my essay now!
